How the 10 days run

Weekend by weekend

Every weekend follows the studio rhythm: teach → build → critique. You work on a real project throughout — yours or a live brief — so learning compounds instead of evaporating.

Weekend 1 · The AI design landscape

How AI products actually fail users; a structured teardown of leading copilots and chat products; pick your project brief.

Weekend 2 · Core patterns

Input and prompt affordances, response streaming, citations and confidence; design your feature's happy path properly.

Weekend 3 · Failure & trust

Hallucination, empty and error states, human handoff; redesign your flows for the moments AI gets it wrong.

Weekend 4 · Prototype & test

Build a working prototype and run moderated tests with real users; measure trust, not just task success.

Weekend 5 · Iterate & defend

Iterate on evidence, pass an ethics-and-trust review, and present the full feature to the cohort and an AI product design lead.

What you'll learn

Skills you'll actually use on Monday

  • Pattern language for chat, copilot and agent interfaces
  • Designing for uncertainty: confidence, sources, graceful failure
  • Prompts as design material — and prompt-quality evaluation
  • Feedback, correction and memory patterns that build trust
  • Ethics: transparency without dark patterns

What you'll leave with

Artifacts, not just notes

  • A fully designed AI feature — flows, states, edge cases
  • A tested prototype with real-user feedback
  • An AI pattern library you can reuse at work

Who should attend

  • Product and UX designers shipping AI features
  • PMs specifying AI experiences
  • Designers future-proofing their practice

Why only 15 seats

Small on purpose

Fifteen is the largest cohort where every participant's work can be critiqued live, every weekend, by the facilitator and peers. Bigger rooms turn workshops into webinars — and webinars don't change how you work.

Weekends only, because this is built for working professionals: no leave applications, no career pause — just ten deliberate days that compound.

Workshop FAQ

Straight answers

Do I need to understand machine learning?
No. Day one gives you a designer's working model of how these systems behave — no math required.
Which tools do we use?
Current AI assistants and prototyping stacks; the patterns are taught to outlive any single tool.
Is this the same as the 6-week AI course?
The course is broader and cohort-paced; this workshop is a compressed, professionals-only build sprint on one real feature.
Will this help me at work immediately?
That is the design: most participants apply weekend learnings to their product on Monday.
